NPC stands for non-player character.
We are the ghouls and goblins and things that go bump in the night. We are also the things that go bump in the day, but that just doesn’t have the same ring to it. As an NPC it is our job to entertain the PC’s (player Characters), to do this we are generally the bad guys and girls that the PC’s vanquish. It is our job to run amuck and wreak havoc left and right. There are times when NPC’s are called upon to play good guys or merchants and the like, however for the most part we are here to make sure the lives of the PC’s never get boring. Also full time NPC’s get 125 goblin per event and they play for free. If this sounds fun you are probably asking yourself

How do I become an NPC??

This is as easy as showing up to an event going to logistics and saying, “Hey I want to full time NPC where should I go??” At which point one of our wonderful logistics people will assign you a cabin and tell you where Monstertown is located (If you get lost ask anyone milling about, they will probably be able to help you with directions). Once you have dropped off your stuff in your cabin you will then report to Monstertown.

What is a Monstertown anyway??

Not a Monstertown, The Monstertown.
Monstertown is where you will meet your fellow conspirators and wreakers of great carnage. It is also home to the Monster Marshalls. Monster Marshalls are the people in charge, they are the people who will tell you what monster you are going out as and all you need to know about that monster. At this point I would like to say, if you have any questions about what they tell you, ask, it is the only way you’ll get an answer, and it is what Marshalls are there for, amongst other things.

Monster Marshall Huh?

Here I’m going to tell you what all the lunatics are willing to do for a game. Monster Marshalls are in charge of telling all monsters what their stats are and explaining what those stats mean. They also follow monsters around and act as a referee for the game. Marshalls are also the people who give monsters direction, not just what you are, but who you are. They give you the reason your particular monster is out and about, which could be anything from just being hungry to Bloody Vengeance. They are the people in charge of making sure monsters follow the rules and play safely. Basically if it has to do with a monster then it has to go through a Marshall. Marshalls are usually people who have played the game for at least a year, know the rules and have gone through training to do this job. It is not an easy job, it isn’t always a fun job, but it is a job with many personal rewards, and we also give 75 goblin for a four hour shift to these wonderful folks .
